New Project - Career Pivot: Getting Into Data
I wanted to alert that I’ve got a new project I’m working on that should help people get a jump start into data analytics. If you have particular concerns or questions, please ask! I’ll happily address them.
I’m hoping to have this sometime in the late spring but my time is pretty heavily accounted for and this is a little different than some of my other projects and will require some different methods of content creation.
Every once in a while I get asked how someone can get started doing data work and what they need to know in order to get started.
So instead of stumbling through my answer to that every time and making some stuff up and handing them other resources I wanted to give them something that would actually get them started doing the work that I do on a daily basis and provide my insights in a document form that can be used as a resource guide.
I am not suggesting that these are the only things you need to know in order to do data work nor am I suggesting that I have any kind of special expertise past a masters in statistics and nearly eight years of working in data. I'm not even suggesting that these are the best way to do these things, but these are the way I do things and I think I am pretty good at focusing on what matters to me and how to do those things efficiently so maybe it will help you. And if not, hopefully I can learn from you how to do these things better than I am currently doing them.
Always be learning.
